It sounds very extreme. If the Steelers, Harrison hasn't been charged with a crime for his vicious hits on the field why would any other player on any other team. I do not condone what the defense for the Saints has been doing for the last 3 years & I certainly do not believe all of these criminal & civil charges will be pressed. It almost sounds like the media is intentionally trying to inflame public opinion. Criminal charges or any other charges would set a presidences for future on field incidentses. This is a can of worms the NFL & the owners would like to avoid at all costs. Goodell will handle this & we deserve whatever discipline he imposses.

OMG. This brings to mind how last season in the NHL, Boston Bruins defenseman and captain Zdeno Chara was arrested by the Montreal police for his tackle during a game between Boston and Montreal.
It's ridiculous... players can't play the game how it was intended if they have to constantly fear that their on-field actions will be directly translated into normal criminal law, and that they might face consequences accordingly. |
