I remember Brady making that point a few years ago, how while he may be viewed as a team leader, he defers in matters of the defense to whomever was the leader of their D, Tedy Bruschi I think it was. Make sense, doesn't it? You're in a defensive team meeting before a game and the QB comes in tell you how things are going to go ... you're gonna' think, "go back to the offense, superstar" ... are you not? Maybe that's why Drew kinda' kept out of the whole thing, if he knew about it at all. |

Well if I was on a defense that was doing illegal bounties I sure as heck wouldn't tell such a supposedly stand-up, straight-shooting, honest guy like Drew Brees very much about it. If I was doing anything illegal I think I'd kinda go out of my way NOT to tell him. Let's get real about it, this whole thing has Gregg Williams' dirty fingerprints all over it, not the whole team, Sean Payton or Drew Brees.

honestly i want a qb who knows about the bounty system and advocates it. who wants a softy playing nfl football. unless someone is breaking someones ankle with their bare hands or karate chopping someones neck then how to you prove hits are bountyfied? if hits are dirty they are penalized and flagged.
