What is the big deal? I do not get it.

Show me the illegal hits that put a player out of the game that was not already caused a fine or suspension. Deal with those as evidence. Not the legal hit clips played on espn over and over. My favorite is the one with Kurt Warner. I still ROFLMA every time i see it. He could have made that tackle or at least slowed the ball carrier down.

Now Espn is the ET of sporting news and yet every now then they mess up and put the wrong guest on. Opps one ex player messed up and said:

I love when the media of non player start their screaming and the nfl pushes for the response to protect an offense favored game that is all about the number of viewers they can attract. For those of you that know me this is an old horse i have beaten to death.

Death of defense in all pro sports all for the sake of TV rating.

Now if anyone has played any sport or coached we are all guilty of breaking this new Holy Grail of the sports world. So you no longer assign a defensive player to shadow an offensive player? God for bid you fire him up to do the best job he can.

God also knows i have promised a reward to players to get them to play at their best or give that 110% we drill in every players head. Simple put crush their assignment. So be it if they get carted off the field. As long as it was clean it is cool. It is the risk we accepted as part of the game. We all know that teams are gunning to stop the other teams weapons. Hell that goes all the way back to pee wee times.
