I think I'm going to turn to the Wall St Journal for my sports news more often.
Another article on WSJ says that the NFL was reviewing 50,000 pages of documentation for possible evidence. Not that there was a 50,000 page report on the Saints, as ESPN had reported. NFL Plays Defense on Suits - WSJ.com |

Great article, people are starting to apply the proper perspective. Honestly, I've found more legitimate football news sources just by hanging around this board. Everybody who contributes on here should be commended.

What everyone is forgetting is that it doesn't matter if Saints players make .50 or $50K.
The problem is the INTENT was to injure another player to receive money. |

More and more, I think they're going to work the "non-contractual bonus payments" angle ... sort of how when they couldn't get anything concrete on Al Capone, they went after him for income tax evasion. |

But if they weren't going to receive money, the hits would have been just as hard. And now everyone and his uncle are making out that that is reason for bone-crunching hits, because the players were getting a little incentive.
