If Drew signs the tag? He's obviously largely incentively paid. Shouldn't he get stiffed if he can't pull something off?

I'm sure he'll get something. Players and agents would be dumb to not address that scenario.

Pretty sure he gets a percentage of whatever the amount is, whether it's the result of a tag or otherwise. That's why he has incentive to get the biggest deal possible.

Why did he hire the wrong guy? He'll end up getting a premium deal before all is done. We as fans may not like Condon, but he's the best in the world at what he does.

Oh, and there is no way in hell that Brees signs the tag and shouldn't. Everyone know he deserves a long term deal and he will get it, one way or another.

If I'm the Saints he signs the offer, the tag, or he sits. Period. The Saints offer is fair. This is about pride and / or greed or both. Nope. Sign either one or not. If I'm the Saints I'm not changing a damn thing, down to the penny, for any year on that offer. If Drew and Condon don't like it...well...they can jump in the lake.

A deal will get done and a long term deal at that.

That is counter-productive and simply bad business. They will get a deal cut with Condon now that he got his way with Carl Nicks hitting the open market and it will be for less than he originally demand for the first three years. This is all a part of the game of negotiating.

I wish he was. But, he is one of the best agents ever and that's why all of the best want him on their side.
