This game has really deteriorated since they used leather helmets and men really went to battle. Now all defensive players need to fully understand how to correctly pull the flag.
 When I started playing rugby there was only one referee. Lot's of things went on after the ball was away. Stomping was commonplace. If a body was between you and the ball the you smashed it! That was the mind set. Btw if you took a player out of the game there were no replacements. Talk about motivation! |
