Seriously? You are scanning NFL football game for evidence of hard hits??? Good Lord! That's like looking at old war films looking for guns. Its football!! You are supposed to hit people, sometimes hard.Is there any team in the NFL, college, or high school that doesn't have a hard hit in a game in three seasons? This is getting very stupid very quickly. |

I agree. When this first came out I wasn't too concerned with it. Then as it unfolded I was like, man we are in some trouble here. Now it's gotten beyond rediculous. It's turned into nothing more than sensationalism for the media and an old fashioned witch hunt for the NFL with their sights set on us. Well if we are going to be fined and suffer suspensions then I want to see other teams get fined and have suspensions too because listening to present and past players this isn't anything new and has been going on for a long time across the NFL. If Goodell wants to suspend players over this and he does it right by going after everyone involved, not just the Saints, then I guess we will have to watch replacement players for a few weeks this season. I too am sick of it. Sick and tired of us being portrayed as the only team to have done this. Anyway, where are the list of injured players in our wake over the last three seasons. The more I hear about this the madder I get.

The Tuesday Wall St Journal looked at 2009-2011 and determined a total of $19,000 could have been earned for hits that took an opposing player out of a game.
The article mentioned Harper as being able to earn an incredible 4,000. Then the article focused on Harper's salary and questioned wtf kind of incentive a bounty like that really was. |
