Gold meets with Saints officials
By Adam Schefter Denver Post Sports Writer In at least his fourth free-agent visit, Broncos linebacker Ian Gold spent Wednesday meeting with New Orleans Saints officials. The Saints, about $8 million under the salary cap, have the resources to sign Gold. But they do not have a glaring need for him. The Saints re-signed weakside linebacker Derrick Rodgers, and plan to shift last year's third-round draft choice Cie Grant to weakside linebacker. At 217 pounds, weakside linebacker is the position Gold is best suited to play. Plus, the Saints' coaching staff has expressed concerns about the condition of Gold's knee and the anterior cruciate ligament he tore in October. Gold also has visited the Falcons, Lions and Bears. The Broncos pulled the offer they made him off the table and it is now considered a longshot that Gold will wind up back in Denver. http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0...2069452,00.html If the Grant comment is true, we WILL draft VILMA! __________________ |

I don\'t remember it being that many, but you could be right, my memory sux as well. When the trade went down, I just knew that we were going after Trufant, which made me happy. When Sullivan\'s name was called, I was in the car with my mother and ex-girlfriend, and I just started cussing.
Hmmmm, Maybe that\'s why my ex dumped me. She always complained that I put football ahead of her on my list of priorities. :P Oh well...
