Rams expect to learn Gregg Williams
Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams expect to learn the fate of defensive coordinator Gregg Williams this week. Unless Goodell plans to hand out punishment in piecemeal fashion, this means that all of the other various sanctions on folks like Saints coach Sean Payton and G.M. Mickey Loomis and the Saints organization itself will come out this week, too.

Would not be surprised if he got suspended for the whole year. He has been doing this over a 4 team span and his punishment will be bigger than any one team im sure.

Considering that GW was the defensive coordinator & has a history of doing this with several teams, he should get the most severe punishment of anyone involved.

I saw a video on one of the sports websites that said Payton could be suspended for the year.

If SP gets that, then GW should be banned for life from the NFL.

I just don't think it should be anything more than a year and even that could be the end of GW in the NFL.

I just don't think its as bad as it sounds.

ITs not like he killed dogs. Nor can I find anyone of significant that would warrant a bounty get hurt, nor was there to many illegal hits. If they were doing it for the extra dough there would be more penalties and serious injuries.

As much as I don't like him, I just find it hard to kick someone out of the NFL for this more than someone killing dogs and doing other illegal things...

Good thing that none of the pundits or do goobers have any say.

I just don't see that happening. Payton 4 weeks and or fine. Suspending Payton or Loomis doesn't hurt the Saints as a team and I don't think we should hurt as a team for one coach bring his garbage to run the D. They know who the one who should take the brunt of the penalty.

That being said.

Payton should do no more than 4 weeks and or fine.

If they take picks away thats just a way of the league making it looked like they did harm to us... honestly we can make that up in FA... not a big deal.

With so much they uncovered they do need to send letter to all teams and warn them that the next time expect penalties to be WAY harsh.

I also think one of the harsh penalties should go to Vilma. I think his penalty should be as harsh that it should make the team think of cutting him instead of carrying a roster spot for 10 weeks or so.

Suspended for one year, and a million dollar fine.

Vilma has said nothing about nothing.

And he shouldn't.
