Damn true. Respect . Too bad there are tweeting drama queens like Johnson ... how badly does he need the money ...must be the reason he tweets 20 times a day .

This is GREAT news! Very happy to have Colston back. Now let's get Nicks signed and Drew a long term deal!

MistaBigXXL 03-13-2012 02:26 PM

Fantastic news! I'm so glad he's not going anywhere.

ChrisXVI 03-13-2012 02:47 PM

I couldn't be happier! We love you Marques and no team's fanbase would respect or appreciate you more than we do!

HELL YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Redskins agreed to terms with WR Pierre Garcon, formerly of the Colts, on a five-year, $42.5 million contract.

They grossly overpaid. The deal also contains $21.5 million guaranteed. Garcon, who turns 26 before the season, chose Washington over St. Louis. The fit is solid in D.C. in that offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan knows Garcon's strengths and weaknesses from their time competing in the AFC South. Garcon figures to be Robert Griffin's top receiver with the Redskins. His run-after-catch skills suit Shanahans' West Coast offense, though the club will be disappointed if it expects Garcon to emerge as a double team-drawing No. 1 wide receiver. He's ideally suited as a complementary-type, No. 2.

Glad to have you back buddy! Redskins continue to be morons.

Should've signed Nicks instead. Brees will have a hard time finding Colston while he runs for his life

i agree nicks first but the money may not be there for what nicks wants. #1 highest paid OG in the NFL.

nice to have colston back for his 12 to 14 game a year appearance.

If we can pick up Ben Grubbs for a bit less than Nicks and still have some room for a LB or two, I am cautiously optimistic about losing Nicks.

Grubbs is better than decent and our coaches will make up for the minor downgrade with their blocking schemes, I'm sure...

WHEW, now I can buy a #12 jersey!!!!!

Grubbs would be a solid replacement for Nicks, and will give us about and extra 3 million for another player.

From what I've read,
Nicks grades an A-plus
Grubbs is a solid B-plus, maybe an A-minus.

I wanted Nicks, but signing Grubbs would ease the pain quite a bit.

Jaguars give Laurent Robinson five-year, $32.5 million contract | ProFootballTalk

If Colston didn't accept a hometown discount, how do you explain this?

WRs are getting RIDICULOUS $ so far!

Love me some Marques! He did the right thing!

papz 03-14-2012 06:18 PM

Wrong example Rocky.

How do you explain this?!

The Bucs are the new Redskins, this almost shouldn't count. (But it does.)

papz 03-14-2012 10:13 PM

Desean Jackson signs for 51 million. Goodness gracious we made out like bandits.

I chose the LATEST example of grossly overpaying a WR.

I fully concur with your example!

There have been so many this week!

I was stunned that we retained such a fantastic WR for peanuts!

His record should would have gotten him a lot more money. He obviously wanted to stay here.

That he wasn't the most coveted WR is just dumb in my mind!

Paraphrasing: "All he does is get first downs!"
