Bills "fully expect" to sign Meachem in the next 24 hours
A league source tells WGR 550 Buffalo the Bills "fully expect" to sign free agents Mario Williams and Robert Meachem within the next 24 hours.
It appears 93-year-old owner Ralph Wilson has given 72-year-old GM Buddy Nix license to "go for it." The benefits of adding Williams are obvious, while signing Meachem would help solidify a receiver corps that struggled with injury and failed to establish a consistent No. 2 threat behind Stevie Johnson in 2011. Good for the Bills. Meachem will definitely help them. I could care less about re-signing him.

I'm very curious to see how meachem does on another team. At times he looks like the first round no. 1 receiver he should/could be.
I've always liked him until right after he catches the ball... It's like his brain shuts off. Good luck Robert. |

Joe Morgan will be a badass with a full offseason of training with the team. That dude stepped in last preseason after the lockout and made freakin' waves on multiple occassions. Not to mention, Andy Tanner could be ready to make the jump. Also, think about this... Colston was a 7th round pick... Lance Moore was undrafted... who's to say that we don't find another guy in this draft class that can fill Meachem's shoes?!

Good for him and the Bills, I'll much rather see him with them than with Tampa.
