He is one of those WR you would say gosh I haven't seen Meach do anything in a while and then the next game it would be his turn in the carousel. But that is in our offense where I think decent talent receivers can look good. I don't have a true feel of what he can do as "the man"

When Meach has a good game, he really has a good game
I think he just got a little lost in our system, Brees spreads it around to so many people the ones that really excel are the ones that work the underneath routes because meachem and devery henderson would be drawing the coverage downfield. Colston, Lance Moore and Jimmy graham excel because of how the offense was designed - Meach and dev taking the safeties with them. When meach was called upon though, he produced, he will be better targeted more and wouldnt get lost in the bolts system |

Meachem should be able to put up Vincent Jackson type numbers there... he has the talent to do so. But it's not like 55 million dollar Vincent Jackson was put up gaudy numbers anyways. 60-70 1000 7-9 is definitely attainable with Rivers at the helm and the opportunities to do so. Meach might even be a more consistent threat on a week to week basis there... Jackson was famous for his disappearing acts.

Great kid, good football player, very likable, fast with good size.
He did a lot of things here that went unnoticed. Excellent blocker and never complained about being a decoy strtching the field and clearing out the middle of the field allowing Colston and our TE's and slot receivers to excel. You got a good player, but you did overpay slightly. Then again, everyone overpays at need positions in free agency. |

Yep, I agree with Danno. The only knock I have on Meachem is he tends to look for the sidline instead of making a move for extra yards but he does the little things well. Again I agree with the over pay part but who knows he may see more balls come his way and it may be worth it for you.

Meach will prob be good with yall. i think he got the better end of the deal ( yall over paid a little) but he runs in the 4.3 range. He was a retard at first and couldnt learn the playbook but after 2 years he finally got it and was able to show his skills

I didn't mean that all our first round picks were disasters, it just seems that when we get undrafted free agents or late round picks, they always tend to outplay the one we selected in the first round

I like him, but, in our offense at least, I can't see giving him that much money. Definitely want to see him have success in S.D.
