Robert Meachem, Malcom Floyd, Vincent Brown, Patric Crayton, and possibly Eddie Royal. Certainly would also get Antonio Gates open A LOT more often too.

Seems like you guys are picking up all of the unproven "high upside" receivers in the league and seeing what shakes out...risky strategy!

Sorry Charger Fan, I love Meachem, but $25 million is a mistake. Big mistake. His hands are not reliable and he disappears way too easy. Another reason why I think this is a mistake is your front office has had terrible judgement in the past few years. Think about this, the Chargers were willing to pay Meachem more than they ever paid Brees.

Actually when they gave Brees a franchise tag, they gave him 8 million. This was in 2005, following that break out season he had in 2004.

Good thing is that only 14 million of Meachem's contract is guaranteed.

I would have given them Meachem and money for Sproles, with what I know now. With what I knew then, I would have happily done a straight up trade.

Not sure. Sproles last season in San Diego was not so good but he proved that it was a fluke. Not just because of how he did for you guys but Rivers missed him big time last season!

Hopefully Meachem isn't finished developing!
