this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Good for him. It would have been nice to keep him, but he can be replaced. The Saints go marching on. Just blows my mind when offensive lineman act like prima donna RBs/WRs ... & QBs, for that matter....

Congratulations to Nicks and, I guess, the Bucs. This makes signing Grubbs almost a must.

This is his last go-round.
He will NEVER see this kind of money again. EVER! Don't blame him at all. Doesn't matter if he brings the play book with him when we execute. Good luck BIG NiCK! And good luck trying to ProBowl again too. |

So that's an average of $9.5M/year - there's no way the Saints could've afforded to pay him that nor should they have.
I'm glad for him, and appreciate all that he did for the Saints. I fully understand why he signed with the Bucks, and I don't have any hard feelings about it. But, with all that said, he is now a Buccaneer and solely because of that I can't root for the guy to have any success in the future - much like what happened with Faine. |

we've been lucky over the last few years not to lose big time players to free agency. this 1 really hurts. he was as solid as we ever loss one except for willie roaf and he was traded i think by joe horn.
