possibly drafting a QB?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Lets take the guy from Houston that threw for 18.31 light years in 5 years. He and Brees are very similar size/ability/intellect wise and we could get him in the 4th....

Casey Keenum, he can probably be had in the 4th or 5th round.

I think he might go later than that. He was awful at the combine. Im thinking 6th round unless he has a good pro day...

Chase is not our future based on age... He is 26, if Drew lasts 4 more seasons that makes Chase 30 when he becomes starting QB.... Sort of a short lived future QB..

Jarrett Lee, LSU

2 more years before we have to worry about drafting Drew's successor.

Watching Case Keenum play in college, I always thought he was the closest college equivalent to Drew, but then Drew did a lot better at the combine...

I say we bring in Jarret Lee and Austin Davis (USM). Something tells me they will be UDFA. Bring them into camp and let them fight it out.

While I like Chase; he will never be anything more than a clipboard holder.
