The high-flying offense you've come to know and love will continue to score points and gain yards at an outlandish rate next season, despite the loss of All-Pro guard Carl Nicks and receiver Robert Meachem.

Nicks and Meachem are good players. But both are replaceable, and the Saints are well on their way to plugging their considerable holes in the roster.

Assuming the Saints are able to sign free agent guard Ben Grubbs, they will boast more than enough firepower to lead the NFL in offense for the fifth time in seven years under Coach Sean Payton.

After all, the unit that set an NFL record for total offense last season should return its four leading rushers, five leading receivers and the quarterback who set the NFL record for passing yards in a season.

One man, does not an offensive line make. Just ask Faine, Goodwin, Kreutz and Nicks.

Don't worry Carl, we'll wave at ya from the Superbowl Parade.

We've got Grubbs coming in to replace Nicks and Meachem was a 4th or 5th option anyway. I think we're going to surprise some people with the signing of a TE and WR. I think we need to all of our picks for a good DE and DT.

Been saying it all off season. We're going to score regardless of who's on the field... maybe with the exception of Drew.

Not really sure how to judge if Nicks is 2 million a year better than Grubbs, so I'm calling that one a wash.
Meachem would have been an expensive 4th or 5th option (6th or 7th if you include Sproles and Graham), so that position should not cost more than a million a year
So, agree with all above- we're the same
