this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I think if Peyton goes to San Fran they will end up being a lot like the Vikings in 09 with Favre. Seriously good team, with everyone fawning all over their jock, good but a bit overhyped, but not ultimately ...

I think if Peyton goes to San Fran they will end up being a lot like the Vikings in 09 with Favre. Seriously good team, with everyone fawning all over their jock, good but a bit overhyped, but not ultimately good enough to go the distance and really win the whole thing, and then they're a shambles a year or two later. Or like the Jets with Favre, before that. Whatever you think of him, Peyton Manning is a journeyman WIN NOW quarterback option, 1 or 2 years at the most, and maybe not able to go all the way.
