Hurricane duo at head of linebacker class
By Vic Carucci
National Editor, NFL.com (April 13, 2004) -- It might be a bit of an exaggeration to say that finding a top linebacker in the draft is a matter of one-stop shopping. Still, it's impossible to ignore that two of the very best players at the position from this year's college crop, Jonathan Vilma and D.J. Williams, lined up side by side at the University of Miami. Sure, the Hurricanes have standout players at several other spots -- tight end, safety, defensive tackle, offensive guard -- and could see as many as six selected in the first round. But Vilma and Williams have the distinction of being from the same school while also being regarded in some circles as the first- and second-rated players at their position ... or second and first, depending on your point of view. want more? click here: http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/7253215 |
