For the league claiming to know about this for 3 years and not do something then and just drop the hammer today makes them hypocritical. So for 2 years they turned their backs but after the 3rd year they decide to try and take away the 2012 season from the Saints fans with suspending the head coach and prevent us from being the first team to play in a superbowl in their home stadium is just BS! We will rise above this crap and stick it to Goodell and his ego trip.

For accepting what the league is doing to our team as if it is necessary and just. Do you honestly think this would be the response if a large market team was involved?

Ok dude. You're right, I'm wrong. Payton and Loomis publicly admit that they were wrong for doing this stuff... So I'm wrong for saying that they are being punished accordingly.

Remove you face from Goddells crack and wipe your nose off for a second. If you consider "punished accordingly" is what we got, you have problems.

I'll throw one name out..Harrison. How many times has he been fined for unnecessary ruffness?? He has single handily knocked more players out of games than our entire defense has EVER! Yet he is still playing.

The problem is the hypocricy of Goddells punishments. Do we deserve to get punished, absolutely! TO be so stupid to keep a record of illegal activities you know are against the rules is dumbfounding beyond words. BUT to put us at a competitive disadvantage is unjust!

Gotta back ChrisXVI on this one. We knew what we were doing was wrong, Payton even sent emails trying to cover it up, telling coaches what to say to investigators. He knew it was wrong, we kept doing it, got busted, and now we're receiving the penalties. Is it harsh? Sure. Could it have been a lot worse? Sure. Like I said in another thread, I'm glad we didn't lose an entire draft because of this. Losing a coach and a GM is a challenge, but we still have the #1 offense in the NFL.

And yes, I understand the hypocrisy of it considering most other teams have probably been doing the same thing. But in the NFL, you can do whatever you want as long as you don't get caught. We got caught, can't blame anybody for that. Time to be a bunch of men, take our whippin', and come back in September ready to light the league on fire. If this isn't a source of motivation, our players must be dead.

What I think we should do is make a Payton shirt and send all the proceeds to Sean Payton. Or we can get the who dat nation to all make donations to a charity paypal to make up for Payton’s loss of salary. If everyone donated a dollar or 2 we could really give him a good chunk of money. To me nothing more would shove it in the NFL’s face than if Sean still got paid!

this is football. anyway you slice it players are getting paid (big $$) to hit other players. i don't see how you go out there to hit someone as hard as you possibly can without the mentality to hurt his a**. goodell is simply power hungry and wants to make this his league. every team is involved in a "bounty" because they have players that get paid millions of dollars to go out there on the field and hit another player. It's called football.
