Saints fan badges of honor
With respect to other NFL fans who I know have had their own crazy struggles, part of the joy/agony of being a Saints fan is having to deal with crazy shhtuff that no other fan has had to deal with. There are some traits you need to be a Saints fan. Sanity is not one of them. We can feel proud to have stuck with our team through all of it. I only go back to the early 90's, I'm sure you old timers could add so much more ...
- Gifting some of our best players to an expansion team in our own division (Sam Mills, Wesley Walls) - Having two quarterbacks named "Billy Joe" at the same time - Trading our entire draft for one player - Seeing that player in a wedding dress - Pulling a game out of the fire then missing the extra point - New Orleans Saints River City Relay - Playing an entire season on the road due to natural disaster - Playing a "home game" in NYC - Now, having the commish ban our coach for an entire season |

good stuff Noog-man.
i have to add "hail marys" and "losing to Joe Montana in the 4th quarter fairly regularly." I'll say this about our Death Penalty. It kinda feels like everything is back to normal in the world, and our Curse is back. That winning stuff was so weird. |

I'll never forget the hail mary loss to the Browns the year they came back to the league in '99. Never thought anything would top that in the ridiculous and painful category... Then came Carney's missed extra point.
Last year's loss to the 49ers wouldn't as flukey, but by far the most painful I've experienced in my time. |
