Mock Drafts

I have been looking at a lot of Mock Draft’s, as I am sure you all have…. And it seems that some of the people doing them don’t even watch Football or at least read the headlines…Is there any one out there that thinks if Hall and Robinson are gone and that Vilma and Williams are there. Do any of you think that we are going to take a DT with the 18th over all pick? :exclam:

If Wilfork or Harris fall, HAIL YES!
And I wouldn\'t complain as long as 2A and 2B are a LB/CB combo.
But there is no way Robinson, Hall, DJ and Vilma will all be gone.
Two of those will probably be there when we pick.

Here are the players I think WON\'T be there when we pick...

1. Eli Manning -QB
2. Ben Rothliesburger -QB
3. Robert Gallery -LT
4. Larry Fitzgerald -WR
5. Keneche Udeze- DE
6. Roy Williams-WR
7. Mike Williams -WR
8. Sean Taylor -S
9.. Vince Wilfork -DT
10. Tommy Harris -DT
11. Kellen Winslow -TE
12. Will Smith – DE
13. Phillip Rivers - QB (Pittsburgh, I guarantee it!)
14. DeAngelo Hall - CB
15. Steven Jackson – RB (Denver If the top 4 D-line are gone, Detroit likes him too.)
16. Reggie Williams-WR (ran a 4.48, great workout)

I don\'t think any of the above slip. And there will be some surprises, like an Andrews or Odom slipping in the top 16

That leaves Robinson, DJ and Vilma to chose from. All 3 can\'t be gone when we pick.
Any three will be fine. If all 3 are gone that leaves us with possibly a stud DT or DE or WR to pick. We can\'t lose at 18.

Rivers won\'t slip. Already talk about some teams trading into the top 15 to get him.
I think Pittsburgh intends to get him, and they will.
Jackson- Rumors have Lions picking him at #6, or NE or Dallas may trade up. He\'s a top 15 pick.

If by some amazing chance they are all gone, we trade down, snag Strait or Carrol and an extra pick, probably an extra late 2nd rounder

If Robinson, Vilma and Williams are there, I wouldn\'t be opposed of trading down. I feel we do need at least one extra pick. I would trade down just far enough to still grab one of them though

If three of them are there or if none of them are there...I would trade down about 4-5 spots and pick that extra second or third rounder and stockpile the young talent in this draft. This draft is deep in WR, CB and fairly deep in LB and we need help in all three. If only one of them were there, snag him and pat yourself on the back.

honestly, if we take another DT at 18, i\'ll become a texans fan... we have sullivan (a future pro-bowler), young (a very solid 2nd string guy), smith (another solid backup)...i also like ken allen very much... mostly because he\'s a former tiger, but he is very big and draws a lot of blocking

There is no way that all three are there at 18, but I\'ll play along. If by some chance they are all there I say try to trade down with the Cowboys. They have the 22nd pick, so we would only have to drop back four spots. The Cowboys will be in the market for a guard to replace Larry Allen, who they plan to release or trade. They may have to get ahead of the Vikings, who might look guard if the top DL\'s are off the board. The Cowboys have picks in both 2nd and 3rd rounds and they could be the most likely trade scenerio. Although, Robinson may be too tempting.
