Gruden or Parcells?
This is just a thought, but I would presume a lot of reaching out has occured by Loomis and Sean since he has one more week. It would be interesting if the Tuna was approached to be interim for Sean for a year. Gruden also may be able to pull off a 2002 performance. Thoughts? Please, no rotten fruit.

Great Idea!
That would be awesome and would instantly change the perception of our team!

I REALLY want someone from outside to come in if only JUST to manage the game as HC. Not to bud in on OC or DC unless he needs to advise them but be the game manager figure head to guide things.
Our OC and DC needs to concentrate on their jobs ONLY. |

I like Gruden, but being an offensive guy, I think he'd want to tinker with the offense. Parcells might be good to come in and crack some skulls. I still think we'll end up going with an in-house solution.

They were speculating earlier on ESPN that it will be either Carmichael or Kromer, because both are familiar with the organization that has one of the biggest staffs in the league and both were interviewing for a HC job this off-season.
They were saying that while Spags has the recent HC experience - he isn't familiar with the organization and the way things are done to pick up the HC duties from SP. |

Gruden would be a good choice, because he has shown he can come in and win with someone elses team. Plus, I like the signal it would put out, that we're still the force to be reckonned with and aren't about to fall on our swords.
Of course, he may not not want to give up his day job for a one year gig, and that's all that I would want him for. I am not about giving up Payton, no way no how. |

Lets just roll with Carmichael and see what happens, no matter the outcome of this season, Payton will be back next year

I agree with Carmichael solo for the first 6 games and then Vitt/Carmichael for the rest of the season...

Just keep it in house, and bring back Payton with open arms next year.
