this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Aaron Brooks is a stud QB. He is a top 10 talent at QB and the first legitimate star calibur QB this franchise has had in a long time. I will take 24 TD\'s and 8 picks any year. Yeah ...

Yeah yeah yeah, he fumbles the ball. Thats what happens when you try and make plays and that is correctible. I think Spanky named him as his surprise player because he thinks that maybe most of you guys will finally appreciate what he can do on the field.

I\'ll take Fahkir Brown. He\'ll split time at the nickel spot and come on strong. Ambrose will be odd man out behind Thomas, Craft, the draft pick, and Brown.

why is ambrose there anyway? for veteran leadership? what spectacular things has he done? did he ever get to a super bowl? pro bowl? simply cut him and save the money vs. the cap

He has made it to the pro bowl. He did have 2 picks versus the Bucs last year and pretty much won the game for us. He is old and past his prime but still good for a couple of picks and adequate coverage.

Ambrose isn\'t that bad really. He\'s lost a step, no doubt about that, but he still has some skills.
If we played a Cover-2 System, I bet he could still start. |

exactly how do you feel about it?
IF you told me, I would know. IF you choose not to, thats fine too. IF that is what you want. If is overrated. |

I don\'t know his exact cap number, but I don\'t think its really that much. Cut him??? What are you thinking? We already have a need at CB, why would you make the need greater? |
