Saints primetime games
Will the league put the Saints in ANY primetime games?
It must be chaffing the hell out of the league that the Saints are being punished and they have a schedule full of potential primetime games! Besides the 6 division games, the Saints have 5 games against last years playoff teams + the Super Bowl winner; Falcons, 49ers, Giants, Packers, Broncos. I think the Saints will get a couple MNF games, (Atlanta & Giants/49ers). The possibility exists that the Saints could get flexed into another one. |

I wonder what Goodell will do when it comes to the player suspensions? I get the feeling that the fines and coaches suspensions didn't have the effect Roger expected.
And more people will watch the Saints in primetime this year, like I do with the Falcons/Buccaneers/Panthers, to watch them get beat... Too bad we're going to have to disappoint a few naysayers this year... |

I think the NFLPA will stop Kommisar Goodell from getting too heavy-handed with the players.

As Papz pointed out, controversy sells... The primetime Saints will draw record viewers.

The networks decide who will be in each time slot. They bought that from the NFL.
If they want to show the Saints? They will show the Saints. I bet that they will more often than not. Winners draw ratings. Winners with a "storyline" are great TV! The Saints will exceed the criteria all year! PROVE DAT! |

Even when the Raiders were tanking with Jamarcus I wanted to watch the disaster or when Vick came back. Obviously, I want the Saints to win but as much as people on other boards say they hate the Saints I'm willing to bet the ratings will be sky high.
