I wouldn't get my hopes up until someone who knows the details of the agreement between the Union and the NFL can say "if" the NFLPA can take legal action.
As in with Paytons contract, he can not seek legal recourse.... The clause is probably written around the NFL's dispute resolution program. |

with all the players coming out saying this is not uncommon and the nfl handling of the situation and banging just the saints i think the union really has no choice.
the big plus is this, the nfl must Show Me The Hits this will go to court. i have yet to see any real hits that did not fall in the boarder line area of personal fouls. granted there are a few. but for the most part they are good and acceptable hits and as the media likes call them clean knock downs. Proof is in the pudding and the NFL to date has shown not shown me the proof against the players. besides if they even suspected this was an issue why didn't the nfl have the referees keep a close eye on the saints. i bet they did and the refs could not find that much. if flags are an issue then look at oakland. year in and year out they lead the nfl in personal fouls. |
