this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Tuna Helper, creole style, I love it! Seriously, this is exactly what we might need for a year. Bring in an old steady hand to guide the team through an interim period....

Aren't Parcells and Benson friends too? Didn't Benson try to hire him once?
This should be a very attractive proposition for Bill. The team is already loaded and a Superbowl favorite. All he has to do is keep it between the ditches and he'll likely get a Superbowl ring for his participation. |

My favorite Tuna moment...
Speaking to his offensive coordinator in front of his running backs coach and his running backs... "Why the hell are all of my running backs fat?" LOL!!! |

Maybe Sean is thinking Spags 'could' do it but needs to focus on a "D" that needs help. Pete may not be ready, and nobody knows this more than Sean. It could be as much to protect those men as anything else.

Spags was hired to coach the defense, and Pete was hired to coordinate the offense. Adding additional duties to either one's plate is gonna reduce their effectiveness. Pete will eventually get his chance, but its a lot to throw on him right now. |

Parcell's is a master when it comes to the press... What they need to know, and what they DON'T. PR move? That's what I'm guessing, but at the same time, the man knows football. By the time he gets done, and Payton comes back, the pressure will be off considerably...
