You know if I'm Vilma...

And Goodell comes down on me too hard, I know every player that was in the room when I made that bounty statement, and those names just might leak out to the press, cause you know it's the one who was terminated that snitched, and if there were more than one released at least it narrows down who it could be. We will find you, it's only a matter of time. Oh BTW, the censor nazi's at Saints Report banned this avatar.

I'm just surprised SR.com hasn't banned itself.

They need to change that site to toolbox.com because other than a few exceptions, that's all you'll find in there...

It's just one listen to the Goodell comments real close when they ask about Shockey. First of all he asks like he never, ever heard the word snitch before and that is funny as hell. He says something like " Well he's wrong ( Warren Sapp) Then he say my source, and then there's a long pause and then he says or sources!!!! You can tell its just one person. All this annonimity is b@#chmade. In some cases it's ok to say where you got your information from we all know what was done, I think he's not saying who it was because the person is probably disgruntled and Goodell may believe that the Saints would have more leverage in protest if they knew the person who spilled the beans had some sort of agenda.

I thought the report indicated that there were multiple sources. I'm past the point of caring now. I just want us to build an awesome team which is what we are doing.

But what if it was not a player in the room, but was an assistant coach or employee of the Saints who was let go by the team. Which is exactly what Darren Sharper has already said it was -- I don't know why people keep thinking it's a player who was the source, he didn't say PLAYER he said EMPLOYEE, and I don't know why people won't listen to Darren Sharper, and it seems like everyone is running around throwing the name of every minor player on the Super Bowl roster under the bus, when it wasn't even a player to begin with. Sharper says he knows who it was, and he said it was an employee, not a player.

YES I am aware it's true: players are technically "employees" of the team, in but they don't ever call themselves that. Ask yourself, seriously, when have you EVER heard a pro football player refer to another player in the brotherhood as an EMPLOYEE? It just does not happen, they DO NOT ever use that word to describe themselves -- if you're on a team, then you're a player, for life. Players are players, coaches are coaches and staff/assistants who work for the team are employees, the distinctions between them are very clear. It was not a player who was the first source. Maybe other players corroborated it later, but the original source was a disgruntled ex-employee of the Saints, NOT a player.

Good point. So who all was let go, that was an employee or asst. coach?

That security guy was fired so I'd think he'd be one of the suspects, but you have to wonder if he was even allowed into the meeting rooms with the players. To me it's got to be someone that was in that room when Vilma made that statement of offering money. They had to be there to hear him say it or it's heresay evidence and won't stand up in court if we brought this to the courts. How would anyone that wasn't there in the room know what Vilma said?
