I dont know, yall. There was something very competent about Jim Mora
back then. You cant tell me you werent feeling it. You had a feeling we could win... in many cases we should win. And you felt like we really had a chance to go somewhere. I like Mora. He's a good guy & at that time, the best head coach we'd had. |

I like Jim too, and liked what he did with what he had to work with.
But NO. Carmichael's play sheet would be down to an index card. We would need Hartley, Kasay, and bring back Anderson to handle the field goal production. |

1st down...... run the ball...... 2nd down....... run the ball..... 3rd down...... short pass...... punt....... or kick a field goal based on field position..... I love Mora Senior, and will always remember him for bringing the franchise into the light, but no..... I like the Parcells idea better, but would prefer having Payton over all of them.

Mora gave those feelings because he was in contrast to his two predecessors... Bum Phillips and Wade Phillips.

What's that? Ah -- Mora? Don't talk about -- Mora?!
You kidding me?! Mora?! I just hope we can find a head coach! Another head coach!" |

I have to dissagree X... Mora put us on a map, that we were never on before. Not that many losing seasons with that team in place. No play off wins, but not too many losing seasons. Not to mention the dome patrol.

So Pauley, if you are going to go out side for a head coach, do you want the guy that can get you 9-7 or do you want the guy that can take you all the way?
I didn't say he was a terrible coach, I said it would be a step backwards. One thing that has not been debated is that Mora can not win in the post season.... Why bother with him then? |

His career winning % is .541
Payton's is .646 I will gladly ask Elway. Ill frame it like this "Tebow as an NFL QB worked out how?" He did not in Florida, and could not in Denver, and inevitably in New York ... Will not. |
