Metarie lawmaker trying to help New Orleans Saints and the fans

I didn't even read the responses. I will as soon as I send this post.

This resolution is toothless. Almost all resolutions are toothless. What we need is a bill. A bill preventing Roger Goodell from visiting the great state of Louisiana because we can't guarantee his personal safety while here.

Normally, I dont think politicians should bring sports issues into government business, but if you think about it, this does make sense.

If you punish the Saints & affect their ability to compete, you do hurt New Orleans. If you hurt New Orleans, you also hurt Louisiana. (see explanations of tax revenues posted above.)

I know how much money we spend traveling to New Orleans from Houston
during football season, and we're just two people.

As a season ticket holder, this punishment also punishes me. It would make a lot more sense to just fine the guys involved, not punish me, you,
New Orleans, and Louisiana.
