7 players invited to draft
So which of the invitees is going to slide on draft day? (Like Jimmy Kennedy and Terrell Suggs did last year?) My guess is Rivers is on the board the longest, and Hall may not get picked in the top ten. |

If the Steelers don\'t trade up, then they all should be gone by 11.
Eli being the top pick to whoever, Gallery going next to the Redskins (if they trade up). Roy Williams going to the Raiders Roeth going to someone top 10. Winslow probably headed to the Lions (that is the word today, anyhow). And Hall going to the Eagles, who supposedly already have a trade with the Niners, and want to trade up even farther with the Falcons to get Hall at #8. If not, he probably won\'t fall past the Texans at 10. |

Fitz is top 3. There is no chance of him falling past the Cardinals.
Anyway, he will be in NY but not at the draft. ESPN reported something about it a few days back. |

Rivers is more of a pick b/c of his character and stuff rather than his actual pick spot. stupid to me and you, but at ESPN it makes sense.

Rivers is also there because he had a long successful college career. ESPN picks players that are well known, and a guy like Rivers, a QB who played for 4 years and played in the Senior Bowl, is more well known to the average fan than Fitz, who only played 2 years of college ball.
Everyone who posts here has much more draft knowledge than the average fan, of course. The average fan isn\'t getting all the extra information from the internet that we do. |

1 - Fitzgerald was invited to the draft, he just decided not to go. 2 - Fitzgerald is a bigger name than Rivers. Average fans don\'t have any idea who Rivers is, but due to the ESPN hype machine, everyone knows who Fitzgerald is. 3 - Average fans don\'t watch the draft. |

personally, i like what harrington did when he was drafted by the lions. he declined the invite to stay home with friends and family on his big day of the draft... i believe he went 3rd or so.
