Exclamation Payton & Parcells played golf

Sorry for posting another article from Florio, but after reading between the lines, I give the chances of Parcells coaching the Saints @ 75%.

[T]he specifics in regards to him coaching, and I’ve read a lot of the reports, that would be something that [G.M.] Mickey [Loomis] and I and our owner and Bill would deal with at a later time,” Payton separately told Myers. “Right now it’s been more as an advisor, as a parent. That’s kind of really what he’s been to me.”

That’s fine, but it cuts against the multiple reports that Payton wants Parcells, and that Parcells may be warming up to the possibility. Parcells told Myers that he couldn’t say what he would do because he has received no offer, and Parcells didn’t rule out the possibility of replacing Payton during Payton’s suspension.

Bring him on instant respect with a man like that in Paytons absence and I think he could help and make the right calls live during a game and be a good mentor/motivator to the players. Screw Goodell this could be a mental boost and help our chances to get to the S.B.

The idiots on ESPN were asking each other if Goodell would allow the Saints to hire Parcells, and Goodell had already issued a statement saying it was ok.

Imagine trying to convince Payton to lay-up on a par 5...

I like it but being close friends...I don't know...he could end up in even more trouble. It's going to be very difficult for SP to completely step aside, add to that ceasing communication about anything Saints related with his bro.

Did they kiss and hold hands?

This is worse than covering Britany Spears.
