this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I think Vilma is too good to pass up at 12. He is the next Ray Lewis. I said the same thing, but their need at CB is far greater than their need ar LB....

Vilma gone at pick 12 ??
next Ray Lewis? i don\'t know about that one. but he\'ll be a real good MLB. i can\'t see the jets passing on robinson, especially if hall is gone (which, he will be)

Vilma gone at pick 12 ??
I was just kidding about Vilma being the next Ray Lewis.
I do think that he may be the next Randall Godfrey. A future Pro-bowler but not a franchise player. |

Vilma gone at pick 12 ??
While, I don\'t agree with Vilma being the next Ray Lewis and I still prefer Hall/Robinson (only) over Vilma, I read something interesting about Vilma and all I can say was WOW. Actually, it was D.J. Williams who said it.
Williams said that the coaches would draw up plays before practice and Vilma would go out there and not make one mistake. With that being said, the guy is very intellegent on the field and off the field because he also had a 3.5 gpa. If you want to read the article, I\'ll post the site. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/footba...5_draft17.html |

Vilma gone at pick 12 ??
I think we are going to have to move up in order to get Vilma. As much as I like him myself, I think he could go earlier than some expect even earlier than 12. DJ Williams I think will be there at 18 and we can trade down to 22 and get him still. But if Vilma goes early and the Saints want DJ then they may move up to snag him to make sure no one else pulls a surprise and gets DJ earlier than expected. I think this is going to be a crazy draft, lots of trades and a lot of second guessing team picks. This is the type of draft they will be talking about for years... \"oh yeah this player was picked over so and so and blah blah...\" There is just so many different senerios that could take place its mind bogeling.

Vilma gone at pick 12 ??
I have learned two things while being a football fan.
1. You can never predict the draft 2. Explaning to my girlfriend for the 100th time why the quarterback has his hands firmly pressed against the center\'s crotch is more fun than reading anything posted by Datfu. [Edited on 18/4/2004 by Chuck] [Edited on 18/4/2004 by Chuck] |

Vilma gone at pick 12 ??
I am sure that people will find a way to second guess anything he does.
I am sure he will be blasted for not taking someone\'s favorite player or something like that. |
