They're going to get him signed, but first they have to wait on players suspensions. Once they know what the league is going to do, then they'll know what their salary cap issues will be. Keep in mind that players like Vilma could get suspended without pay, which means, he costs nothing against the salary cap for as long as he's suspended. That's money that could help pay the first year of Brees' new contract.

So, until that gets sorted out, he's not going to get signed.
