Trade with the browns??
Hi all,
Just wondering with the Browns having a swag of picks this year, and with the loss of our 2x second rounders whether we are better off trading with the browns and getting back in the mix. Say our 2013 first rounder for their second rounder in 2012 (37) & 2013... We can target a good DE like Branch or DT like Worthy, this year and given the shape of the Browns roster will be picking somewhere between 33-40 next year. With SP sidelined for the year, 2012 could be anything for the saints so its risk-reward for the browns, given our first pick could be as high as 32 or as low as... 32 Any chance? |
I'm not liking it; use the 5 picks this year drafting BPA, and next year we have only lost #2, so not really a big deal...
Besides, we seem to find quite a few late round gems... |
Just trade away all 1st and 2nd rd picks and let Mickey rule free agency!
"In Loomis I Trust!" btw, WELCOME Rubatron! |

Do we lose the 2nd round picks this year or next year's draft?

both Halo

The Browns have a lot of needs, so they might want to hang on to those picks they have at this year's draft, which is probably one of the reasons they lost out to the 'Skins in the 2nd overall pick trade.

# browns?

Inthink we have a couple players that we could trade the Browns to al least get a 2nd rounder for one or the other.

Maybe Ellis? I doubt they'd give us a 2nd for him since he's in the last year of his contract. PT would be attractive to them but he wouldn't draw a 2nd rounder. Maybe Will Smith since he just restructured but his cap hit may be prohibitive for us. Bushrod? He could draw a 2nd, but we'd have no one to replace him with. Jenkins? I still have high hopes for him, but he'd probably net us a 2nd. Lance Moore is from Ohio, he could probably net us a 3rd maybe. |
