I don't too much mind this audio being released. GW threw us under the bus, so I don't mind GW being thrown under the bus.

If that's what GW calls coaching, then good riddance. Looking forward to having Spags actually coach and teach this defense, not just spew vitriol like GW. Maybe if GW could've focused on tactics instead of violence for a minute we couldve won a few more games.

He got in because Gleason is sick and the Saints were looking to help him out with a project. They trusted this project would focus on the plight of Gleason's personal battles. That is the only reason this guy was allowed to tape anything.
Because, the only reason he was allowed into the locker room was because Gleason is sick, is also the reason nothing other than material pertaining to Gleason should have made it out of the confines of his ediing suite.
This dude KILLED any chance another person in the media has at getting "inside" access in the Saints locker room ever again.
All because he felt the need to express his opinion.
I understand, there is a call or desire for "everything" to be reported... but life doesn't work that way.
What greater good does the release of this tape serve? Williams was already suspended indefinitely.

Did either of you take the time to read the article? I'd venture to guess that the answer is no. He went out of his way to defend the players and even the front office. It is a pro-Saints piece/anti-Gregg Wiliams piece.

I know it is a bit long, but before you spout off, you should exert the tiny effort to actually read something that isn't primarily composed of pictures.

Geez!!

I read the article. Doesn't change my stance one bit. He betrayed Gleason.

Like Mr. Miyagi once said ... "There is no bad student, only bad teacher". Good grief GW.

Well ESPN was apparently not very interested in his Steve Gleason documentary, according to Pamphilon's own website they hadn't picked up the option on it, for over a year now. He's trying to get ESPN's attention, that he has this footage. Why else do you think he released the audio only, and not the video? ESPN is gonna pay primo money for that footage, anyone can see that. Now ESPN will probably buy his whole Steve Gleason documentary, just to get access to the juicy "smoking gun" bounty footage of Williams. It's true, he did defend the Saints, Vilma, and the front office in his piece. I have no doubt his friendship with Gleason and the Saints is genuine, he wasn't "using Gleason" or anything, but the timing of its release and even the legality of him taping it (not clear if it was done with or without Williams' permission) are kinda interesting issues to me.

Sad still think it should not have been made public only brings more harm. Reinforces though why Goodell did what he did I blame Payton and in a small part Loomis for not stopping Williams someway somehow. I have been down on Goodell think it was harsh but something had to be done wrong is wrong it is a matter of degree. Amazing what power will do to a man when he does not remember where he came from or cannot see where he is going.

ProFootballWeekly.com - Gleason says tapes of Williams were not supposed to be public
Quote:

“Sean Pamphilon and I have an agreement that all recordings ultimately belong to me and my family. Nothing can be released without my explicit approval. I did not authorize the public release of any recordings. The Saints trusted me and gave us unlimited access in filming, and I, in turn, trusted Sean Pamphilon.
----Steve Gleason

I have seen Saints players calling out Pamphilon saying that he's sick for releasing the audio without Gleason's "ok."
