Let us say we stay at the number 18 pick.
who is the worst player the saints could pick? the worst fit for the team. or just a non-need. but the player has to be worthy of being taken in the first round, not just one of those high school kids who threw out their names so they could get on the news. |

Randy Starks
The way I see it, that would be 3 1st round draft picks in 2 years. I would take DT int the 3rd if the right guy was there. |

Will Smith
The Saints are set at DE. Plus I don\'t like his music. |

i agree with the two above, although smith is pretty good. but on a serious note, i wouldn\'t be opposed to taking wilfork at 18 if he\'s there... the guy is amazing... very quickand agile for his size with a great motor and work ethic.

chRxis, I totally agree with you about Wifork. He is the only DT I woulndn\'t mind taking with our !st rounder.
BJD, I would also be very disappointed if the saints drafted Starks or any DL besides Wilfork. Harris is good, but he simply will not be there. |

Will Smith, Michael Clayton, Reggie Williams or any other late-1st round WR. Those would all be terrible first round picks for us.

Other bad first round picks for us - anyone on the o-line (unless gallery falls, which wont happen). Any QB. Derrick Strait, Will Poole, Karlos Dansby. Any RB. Antwan Odom. Marcus Tubbs. Donnell Washington.
I think that\'s it. |

Frankly, we could use an upgrade at just about any position on defense other than end, and that\'s assuming that we come to an agreement with Howard. Otherwise, DT, LB, CB, S - all upgradable.
On offense I would hate to see a RB or an interior lineman. TE would be pretty stupid also. So would... gulp... quarterback. |

OH NO! You said RB< thats what I said the year we drafted Duece. Your right, RB would be the worst 1st round pick ever for us.
