Whispers are beginning to grow that a select few in the Saints organization are growing very fond of Oklahoma linebacker Teddy Lehman. Another player that has supposedly drawn interest is Rod Davis who sources report has several scouts believing that his potential is a lot greater than originally thought. With these two players causing such a stir, one has to wonder if the Saints have ruled out going linebacker in the first round or have they simply put their poker faces on early. Another rumor that has begun to grow involves possible discussions between Seattle and the Saints for swapping draft picks. Seattle is rumored to want one of the draft’s top defensive tackles, and it is likely one of the three will remain on the board at the Saints selection. Depending on what players slide to the Saints selection, they may be able to deal and still get their guy. If one of the three top defensive tackles remains on the board when the Saints make their selection, then don’t be surprised to see a trade made. http://www.nflfans.com/saints/articl...04041900473652 |

i\'m telling you, Lehman is good... we\'d really benefit from the guy being in our organization.

davis worries me for one reason.... speed. he doesn\'t have it, probably won\'t get it, but he definitely needs it. we need a fast MLB for our coverage schemes and blitz packages, not to mention to play the field sideline to sideline. after all, Darrin Smith is fast and fits our schemes perfectly, thus we need someone with that sort of mold, but better... voila, Jonathan Vilma.

While I like Vilma, Davis would be a steal late in the draft. Lewis didn\'t time very fast either (just under 4.8 I think). Nobody would call Lewis slow. Probably the fastest sideline to sideline MLB I\'ve ever seen. 40 times are HUGELY overrated! |

lewis didn\'t time at 4.8, just so you know. don\'t get me wrong, i think rod davis is a hell of a player and yeah i\'d love to see him in a Saints uniform next year... right next to Vilma though

i agree that 40 times are very overrated, much like ACT scores, SAT scores, etc., but i was referring to game speed... i watch davis many times through last year, and there were times he looked like he was running in quicksand, not to mention he was hesitant to diagnose on some looks that the opponent gave him.
