According to punter Thomas Morstead and strength and conditioning coach Dan Dalrymple, the New Orleans Saints' 2012 season will contain the same goals as every other season, despite the current turmoil surrounding the franchise.
"The reason athletes are great is because they know how to adjust," Morstead said. "This is just another bump in the road." "What happens when someone doubts you?" Dalrymple asked. "You want to prove them wrong. We're all competitors and when someone puts up an obstacle in front of me, I want to charge through that obstacle. This is just another obstacle." Full article. He's placed his mini-me's in charge to simply keep it between the ditches for 19 games. I'm more confident than ever that we'll be fine, barring some excessive or key injuries. |

I like the edge this gives us. Now I guess we'll just take the opponents out of the game for free. Would that be fair? Taking someone out of the game with a hard hit? That sounds too much like football. I don't think Roger Goodel would approve of that.

I'm not feeling all of this. Brees wanting to hold up the Saints without a gun, Payton not there in critical calls, losing draft picks for 2 years, Goodell having a stiffy for the Saints, refs. probably informed to call the slightest real contact. Looks to me the chips are stacked against us. O.K. I'm in, I hope we win the whole damn thing, this isn't the first time that my Saints have been dealt a bad hand and surely want be the last.
