Saying Goodbye to Sean Payton

Right now somewhere, most likely at 5800 Airline Dr., Saints head coach Sean Payton is making his final preparations for his year-long suspension. Ensuring things are in order for his departure and imparting final words of wisdom to his staff and team.

If you've been paying close attention to the Bountygate scandal and a calendar, then you're probably aware that tomorrow is April 16th, the beginning of what Goodell hath wrought for the next year. The beginning of uncertain times for the Saints and for us, the fans. For the first time in six years, the Saints will not be under Sean Payton's command.

So bid your final adieu, Who Dat Nation, and say your last goodbyes to our dear coach Sean. I'm not sure how much we'll hear from Payton during his suspension. He may often use the media as his mouthpiece or he may think it in his best interest to lay low and avoid further angering "the beast." Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Good luck to coach in whatever he does for the next year. Hopefully he takes this time to recharge the ol' batteries because I'm already looking forward to his return, complete with an insatiable thirst for redemption and a renewed vigor.

I bet this is going to do a lot of good to him and consequently to the Saints' organization.

There have been doubts about how long SP is going to coach before retiring, but now with this year away from the game he might be energized enough to remain in the game for a longer period than otherwise.

It'll undoubtedly be great for his family and for this golf game.

Too many meanings, it could get confusing.

I think that he has an entire year to watch film of every team in the NFL and design new ways of beating them, Goddell only embarrassed and pi$$ed Payton off, what better wat to show the tyrant than to come back and stomp everyone in our path. Payton made us a powerhouse and will continue to do so.

And old Roger may have indirectly done us a favor in that this ordeal may have added 3 or 4 more years to Payton's career.

I'd imagine 2 or 3 more Superbowls and the Hall-of-Fame is a lock for Sean. Now THAT would be a giant F-you to Goodell.

I'm hoping that while he recharges his batteries he is keeping a eye on some of the lesser hyped guys who will be out of contract this year and also keeping a close eye on the college game.
I'm pretty sure that we will have a really strong draft next season with Sean having time to watch the players who can take us in again.

I hate Goodell! (Sorry....it was just in me, and had to come out).............I hope he gets a bad case of hemorroids that have to be surgically removed.
