Steve Gleason has feeding tube inserted.

I want every member of WhoDat Nation to say a prayer for Steve Gleason, his family and anyone suffering with this dreaded disease!

Your in our thoughts Steve

In one play I believe you basically ignited our rebirth as a team with your blocked punt, that one play lead to us being dominant and got the dome rocking every Sunday

WhoDat!656 04-17-2012 06:53 AM

That play belongs next to Dempsey's kick, Meachem's interception-strip TD return, Hartley's GW FG in OT to send the Saints to the Super Bowl & Tracy Porter's GW interception in the Super Bowl as one of the most exciting/season-changing plays in Saints history!

73Saint 04-17-2012 07:08 AM

Prayers and thoughts to you, Steve. I lost my dear Aunt to ALS, and it was so hard on the entire family. I can't bear to imagine what you are going through, and I am wishing the best for you and your family.

Saintlyone 04-17-2012 07:37 AM

Not fair at all.

Dos Equis 04-17-2012 07:54 AM

That's really sad.

Although, I am NOT a member of WhoDatNation, my prayers definitely go out to him and his family.

......and people wonder why I don't do religion.

Yeah, but, when you're on the wrong side of it, it is truly maddening.

Keep fighting Steve. I think I will watch the sunset tonight.

SaintFanQ 04-17-2012 02:59 PM

alleycat_126 04-17-2012 04:10 PM

God Bless you Steve, Fight on, Prayers to you and your fam!!!!!

alleycat_126 04-17-2012 04:21 PM

Not to dampen the mood on Steve but can some explain to me why a qb with a repaired shoulder would be asked to throw a block on an end around, literally made cry, I didn't even remember he did that. Crazy!!!!! Brees is awesome!!!!

gandhi1007 04-17-2012 04:35 PM

I remember that night like it was yesterday. I still get goose bumps & teary eyed. That was the loudest, most passionate I have ever heard the dome.......and that includes the NFC Championship.

ChrisXVI 04-17-2012 04:40 PM

We love you Steve. God bless such a beautiful human being.

Marlboro Man 04-17-2012 06:02 PM

Praying every day for you Steve. God bless.

RaginCajun83 04-17-2012 09:54 PM

Keep fighting Steve, don't give up ..... my thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family, just can't believe the guy who gave me one of my top 5 Saints moments is slowly dying and he's only a couple years older than I, makes you stop and think sometimes

sharke 04-18-2012 09:04 AM

NO WHITE FLAG!

Srgt. Hulka 04-18-2012 01:41 PM

IMO, the first play of the Dynasty that is Saints Football. That was the first play that let the world know that they didn't have the lowly Saints to kick around anymore. Hang in there Steve, the whole Saints Nation is praying for you.

Saintlyone 04-18-2012 02:10 PM

Finally brought myself to watch the video. Having two kids and one on the way I can't imagine having to make videos of me giving them advice before I pass on. That would be so hard to do, but like Steve I know I could do it. I also can't help but think how sad it would make me that I won't see them grow up and experience life.

Beastmode 04-18-2012 02:37 PM

That was a perfect block. Very heart wrenching to see Steve in that state, I could not even watch it.

Pete 04-18-2012 09:39 PM

Steve, you have once again touched many peoples lives with your courage and will to win.
That block was a moment in time that will always be imprinted in my mind For as long as I have a memory.
Me and my late father weren't able to enjoy Our superbowl win together, but I'm thankful Steve gave us that time of happiness. We sure were
on cloud nine that whole season thanks to Steve kickstarting it.:bng:
Steve made it look easy every time he flew down field and handled his business!

Hang in there Steve
We Love You Man

QBREES9 04-18-2012 11:26 PM

This is just to sad. I feel for his wife and child.

NOLA54 04-18-2012 11:46 PM

Positive thoughts and best wishes going out to Steve & his family.

saintfan 04-19-2012 05:44 AM

God bless him, his wife, and kid(s). Steve is one of the good ones, and right there we all are but by the grace of God. Hang tough Steve. Your dedication and determination and your genuine good will to your fellow man are the things that matter.

Rugby Saint II 04-19-2012 08:42 PM

It's a shame...............

HouYat 04-19-2012 09:38 PM

God bless you & your family, Steve. Been praying for you ever since I saw you lead the Whodat chant before the Texans game last Sept. Until that time, I had no idea how advanced your illness was. Brought tears to my eyes that day in the Dome. And then again just now. Thanks for the memories you've given us!
