Carucci counting Saints out...
It sounds like Vic Carucci, the exalted prognosticator/commentator of NFL.com fame is already counting the SAINTS out of contention for the Big Game, much less making it to the NFC Championship game.
He begins his column today by saying... "Plenty. Although the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers no longer reside in the same division, they do share a league-best 8-2 record. That means the winner could very well end up playing host to the other team in the conference championship game." I for one don't put much faith in most of the so-called NFL experts because I don't believe many if not any of them will give the SAINTS their due before we have at least won a conference title, maybe even a Superbowl. What's your take? Are the SAINTS being counted out too early? Do they still have a legitimate shot at making it past the first round or two of the playoffs? Can they do what they need to do down the stretch to prove Carucci and his cronies wrong? Go SAINTS!!!!! David in Houston |

Carucci counting Saints out...
After the last couple of weeks I cant blame people for counting them out. I think it is a mistake though. People will jump back on the bandwagon if and when the Saints beat tampa in two weeks. Everyone is in love with Tampa and Green Bay and will be until the Saints step up again. The early season after the Tampa, Green Bay, Pitt. and San Fran. wins people started to notice us. After the couple of bad games they forgot again. I think one of the big reasons is that no one expected anything out of the Saints this year with all of the changes that were made. Green Bay and Tampa got a lot of preseason hype. This league is what have you done for me lately and the Saints have stunk it up the last two weeks. Let em count us out. Thats the only way I like it.
