Very good read that expresses the opinions of many Saints fans. Like many of us have been saying; why hasn't anyone seen these "50,000" pages of evidence and where's the proof of pay to injure? Unfortunately the NFL is a dictatorship, and Dictator Goodell doesn't have to answer to anyone.

This in itself is great misunderstanding in the press. There never was 50,000 pages of actual evidence. The league requested and was given access to the Saints' emails which are hosted on the league's server. There were 18,000 emails (documents) that consisted of 50,000 printed pages. The vast majority had absolutely no relevance to any subject under investigation. This is where they found the single email from Ornstein which referred to a bounty in the postscript. For the record, Payton has stated that he had never read the email and Ornstein has "claimed he was kidding about the monetary pledge".

Yep!. The public needs to have a good think about this. 50,000 pages is ONE HUNDRED reams of paper. With goodness knows how many sentences. And they find one single email ......... that refers to 3 years of bounty.

Interesting

And the NFL still hasn't fined or suspended any Saints players. I suppose that will happen on Monday, after the draft.

As I keep saying, why wait 3 years to administer so called punishment? Why wait till New Orleans hosts the super bowl? Was there some concerns that the Saints could be the first team to play the super bowl in their own home town? Could someone or someones be trying to level the playing field by throwing roadblocks in our way? It's feeling like there is more to this than "they" want us to know.
