Judge to suspend NFL season!
Now, with so many lawsuits filed, is it possible that some judge could suspend the NFL season, because he or she may consider the game so unsafe for players that it would be better to halt the season than cause any more injury to the players!!

I'd change that title.
But I believe there's an element of truth in that statement. It appears inevitable that lawsuits will kill the NFL as we know it, its just a matter of time. |

Dude you really need to re name your topic. Unless you work for ESPN and are trying to get page views. LOL. But to answer you question....no. Too much money involved and the NFL has too many friends in politics for that to happen. Unless someone actually dies in a game while on the field from a head blow then no it won't happen...

I don't see this happening. Might as well cancel the NHL playoffs if they're so concerned about players getting hurt.

The NFL is the #1 watched sport. I don't know where hockey comes in but I feel sure it is just above Curling. Now, I am not downing hockey. I like to watch it, even now and then. However, NCAA Football and Basketball, MLB, and NBA are above hockey in the pecking order of TV viewers. This is a PC world we live in and if the "Masses" see what is going on as a horrible, tasteless thing going on in a sport then the Presidents of the NFL, MLB, NBA, NCAA have to act like they care about the masses feelings. These "Presidents", IMO; really don't care about the players but rather the bottom line. In case you are wondering what the bottom line is..... it's money. And the NFL makes more money than the others. |

I understand why the NFL is first in line to be scrutinized for player safety. My post was mostly sarcastic.
I'm just saying that IF, for some reason, the NFL season were to be suspended over the concussion issue then the same situation happening in the NHL would likely have a similar outcome. |
