Now mind you, Brooks didn't say trade me, or I won't play for the Saints. He just said, I deserve more money. Never did I here the folks that are defending Eli say Brooks was just looking out for himself and his family. All I heard was this deep hatred.

I don't know how anyone could bash Brooks and defend Eli. Anyone care to explain to me how that's possible???

Well there\'s a lot of double-talk that goes on in here...any forum for that matter, but I don\'t mind pointing it out from time to time.

According to this one member (WhoDat) -- When a team ties up so much money in a QB, they are doomed. I\'m sure Eli will carry a hefty price tag. Come to think of it, how much does Peyton make? I hear the Colts might be doing a little roster trimming to ensure they can pay Peyton. I have no problem with that however, Peyton deserves what he\'s getting, IMO.

What\'s Jake making these days? Jake\'s a stand-up guy though. I\'m sure he\'s going to honor his contract and not expect a raise. If I were him, I\'d be trying to make good on that super bowl run before the first game kicks off this year. Ya never know. That cart might start to turn into a pumkin.

This is not true, and I can prove it, but he deserves his raise. Eli don\'t deserve a dang thing.

What???????? Is Jake getting a raise? A big one? Is he going to make as much as Brooks?

What am I trying to prove here? I know the folks that were complaining about Brooks taking up too much cap space will just tell me Jake deserves it. Which he does.

Well, I for one, am not going to defend Eli...The team drarfts the player, not vice versa. Archie needs to keep his damn mouth shut...He\'s made himself look like a complete ass. I hope the Chargers draft Eli now and then he sits out the entire year. Watch his stock plummet after sitting out an entire season with no football. I\'m probably going to be bashed hard for this, but Eli, his agent, and Archie can kiss my a**. Freakin prima donna

That\'s the thing that bothers me. I don\'t care if it\'s Eli or any other player that pulls this stunt. It manipualtes the system and the system is a good one.

Usually the best players go to the worst team. It\'s fair and it\'s the way it should be. It ensures that even the worst of teams has a fair shot.

Eli in undermining the process. The Chargers want to win as much as anyone, and if a team is willing to draft a guy, pay him millions of dollars, and that player thumbs his nose at them, then it just isn\'t right.

Now, I don\'t think Eli or the Manning are evil people, I just think they are using Eli\'s draft status in a way that isn\'t right.

I would love to see the Chargers draft Eli and make him play in NFL Europe.
