Player Accountability
I am all for player safety and never like to see anyone have a physical detriment in later years that impacts upon them having a normal life BUT...
Players should be made to sign a waiver to say they won't sue as anyone with any sense knows that repeatedly running into someone at speed and banging heads and other body parts may contribute to some form of physical disability later in life. I honestly believe that if any of the players bringing a lawsuit was told, in their playing days, 'I want you to stay off as I don't want you getting too banged up' they wouldn't have complied or would have lied about their fitness. We all know what football is about and to take no or very little responsibility for what has happened is a little unreasonable. I'm not saying that they shouldn't be looked after, but let's not get silly with the lawsuits. |

I agree, but that's the society we live in today. Anyone will sue anyone for the most minuscule things
