Worried about the draft.....
Anyone else just a little worried that Haslett and Loomis might screw the draft up? Look, last years draft was the first without Meuller. I have to tell ya, when Meuller was in charge, I had supreme confidence we were going to do well. Say what you want to about Meuller, but he did pretty doggone well in the draft and free-agency.
Last year's draft might turn out to be a great one. But as of right now, I am not that impressed. Just look at what Loomis and Haslett did last year: 1. Trade away a first round pick to move up and grab Sullivan. 2. Draft an offensive lineman in the second round. We needed a defensive tackle, but we paid a big price. Why we drafted a offensive lineman in the second round, when we needed cornerbacks and linebackers, I'll never know. I can put a positive spin on just about anything, but I think they goofed up last year. The scary thing, to me, is Haslett and co. seem to not have a plan. Or, at least not a very good one. What happened this off season? No linebackers brought in. No premeir corners. I'm not exicted about the free agents we signed and I'm worried about the draft. Haslett has been trying to fix this defense for years and everytime they take one step fowards they take 2 steps back. I'll be happy if we get a cornerback, but a linebacker sure would be nice. I'm sick and tired of seeing our linebackers getting abused. And so help me god, if they draft an O-linemen in the high rounds........... [Edited on 23/4/2004 by SaintsReporter] |

Worried about the draft.....
worried? the worst they can do is screw it up........let\'s see, barring a blockbuster trade with sd, to take eli, i\'ll stick by my previous and first post being if a potential walk on starter (a wr) is there, they\'ll go that route for the simple reason after the 1st round, there
probably won\'t be another. however, a dt may be there too that they like, who knows? swamee |
