VILMA suspended for season....

Not surprising.. the whole time these reports were talking about vilma preparing for up to 8 games I figured it would end up being his whole season.. payton was only preparing for a few games too.. the bright side is that its finally come down and only 2 guys still on our roster received suspensions. If forced to, I can live with that

I agree with this. What would have been worse, losing Vilma for the season or many of our defenders for a few games? I tend to think the Vilma's best says are behind him and he has injury issues. I think our improved LB corps will help us absorb this blow.

Losing Smith will hurt, but who knows with the appeals process he may not have to serve until he's no longer on the team either?

Agreed. Losing any of these players HURTS! Worst case was losing a LOT of defensive players, which did not happen, so we lucked out.

All of us were hoping Will Smith would turn it around this season and Vilma wouldn't be injured. Luckily the front office has made plans to fix the problem.
