ESPN reacts to player punishment in record time
Just wanted to point this out. I'm sure you already know.
ESPN failed to report news about Joe Hummel resigning for 72 hours. And only then did it make a bullet point in the NFC South blog. Player suspensions were issued today and the following happened: 1) ESPN has all hands working on this. It's in the NFC South and North (because of Hargrove) blogs as well as Shefcter, and others reporting this. 2) Harper didn't get anything, which I figured definitely wouldn't happened. 3) The NFL "cited" evidence and referred to it only in the past tense (i.e. the evidence showed, as if it's already destroyed) 4) Chase Daniel tweeted that Jon Vilma found out via SportsCenter and not by way of notification through the NFL. So Jon Vilma, watching in the weight room one could only assume, saw his suspension and was in immediate violation of it because he was still in contact with the team. This proves the connection the NFL and ESPN have formed and why their reporting is so biased. 5) The players didn't wish to speak to the NFL about it and they will all appeal with what appears to be an arsenal of NFLPA lawyers and paralegals hungry for justice. I just wish this went quicker. I hope its enough to sign Drew. Not only that, but if overturned, we are issued a salary cap waiver to pay Vilma and Smith for the year. Who Dat! Still a fan. Aggressive play won't change my mind. |

I was at a restaurant when I saw the ESPN loop-- they ran clips of about 15 hits, all within the field of play, all relatively legal. One was of Jenkins barely pulling down Alex Smith. Definitely worth a two dollar bounty.

I've started visting cnnsi.com regularly. Don't spend much time anymore watching ESPN unless it's a game broadcast or MLB highlights. I'm even going to advise the kids to cut back on the Disney channel.
ESPN is as crooked as f*** |
