ESPN vs. ESPN: Fight to the Death
It's pretty obvious to me that ESPN fabricated and skewed the source in the "Listengate" or whatever crap they accused ML of doing.
I read it was in an attempt to be the first breaking news outlet to have "the big story" after failing to do so during the Penn St thing, Spygate, Bountygate and I think a few others. So they came up with Mickey Loomis owns a pair of Dre Beats and listens to things at times. Only by the WhoDatNation, but there has been backlash to ESPN. Now, I'm noticing a number of ESPN writers, reporters and such that are siding with the Saints. Skip did it apparently, Ed Werder (who I thought would have enough of a reputation not to lie) and I'd assume others. They're starting to swing in our direction. Any chance they see the growing doubt in the NFL and they're trying to be the first to get THAT story. The story that the NFL is doing it all for reasons the could be considered unethical? ESPN is going to end up ruining their football reputation with the other 31 fan bases if they are seen being obviously interested in getting immediate ratings with irresponsible and incorrect reports. |
