Drew Needs to see what this is doing to the team

Before everyone harps on me about Drew deserves to be paid and etc

He needs to realize what is happening to our team, we have lost our Head Coach, Assistant Head Coach, GM mickey loomis, Best defensive player in both leadership and performance, and drew is nowhere to be seen because he wants his extra 6 mil.

I know hes holding out because he feels under appreciated with the contract we offered (19 mil, Yeah WAY UNDER APPRECIATED) but its time to get into camp.

We have no leaders running the training camps anymore, we will miss Sean Paytons fire on the sideline and the next best thing to Sean's attitude is sitting home watching us take hit after hit and thinking, i'm not going until i'm happy.

Its time to stand by your teammates drew, Your my favourite player and I love what you've done for our team, but right now your hurting us by not being there

We as fans can only watch and give opinions, but Emperor goodell is trying to take the leadership from our team and Drew's helping him by not being there

Had to voice my feelings guys

Well said. Unfortunately you just can't rely on athletes "doing a Joe Mauer" and taking less for the good of the organization. They often times tie "respect" to the number of zeroes on the contract. Less money is disrespectful to most, and that is the crux. I would certainly have thought that Drew would be a guy to consider a "hometown discount", but that's not the case.

He's probably looking closer at taking good care of his family first. Remember a million dollars doesn't go as far as it used too!

You have to consider, there was also the matter of player suspensions. The Saints didn't know who was going to get suspended and for how long, so they had to wait and see if they were going to need money to sign extra people to cover the spots left by those suspended. They probably had a good idea that Vilma was going to be suspended, but the NFL said 27 players where involved. Now that they know how's suspended and how much money they have to work with, I'd assume the deal will get done rather quickly.

26 million doesn't go as far either.

The team, the fans, the State of Louisiana along with the Gulf States really need something to releave some of this crap that is going on with our team. The only thing that can ease the minds of the above mentioned, is Drew signing a contract.

Or Condon getting kicked in the nads on live TV.

His contract has further reaching implications that just the Saints leadership....

1. His family
2. The most productive QB the last three years contract WILL effect other QB's contract values when they come up.
3. We have slots to fill now and there may be Cap space needed. Not 100% positive but you do not know till your 52 are finalized.
4. Condon gets his % and is the negotiator of this contract. Drew has to let him do as he sees fit.

Let this take its course and do not force it...

I don't want to say "Force" the issue. I for one, will be able to breathe a little easier knowing the whole Drew contract thingy is over and done with.
